Set in modern day, our 13 year old protagonist Jason, is quickly forced to grow up when his single mother takes a rapid decline into the drug world and he is forced to put food on the table by any means necessary. Although he is aware of her inevitable demise, he is stuck in denial and has a compulsary feeling to continue to provide for her needs. Overtime we see our protagonist make more and more money however with more money he makes the more it decays his mother. Being on the road was used as a distraction from the horrors at home.
